Our music for worship at BFUU draws from a wide range of inspirations. Music from our hymnal, "Singing the Living Tradition," is complemented with folk, classical, jazz, and original songs from the local musicians who grace our Fellowship Hall at Sunday services. Come enjoy this rich blend of tradition!

Besides Sunday services, BFUU hosts musical events in a wide variety of styles, including the Berkeley Fellowship Open Mic the second Friday night of each month.

Singers Awake! We are working on expanding our choir and would love to have you join us. We meet on Saturdays once per month (schedule and location announced as available), and most Sunday mornings at 9:30 am. We sing at (almost) every service and prepare special music as needed. Bring your voice and a friend!

Enjoy playing an instrument? We are looking for more musicians for our house band Fellowship.  Anyone interested should contact Music Coordinator Lauren Renée Hotchkiss at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. or 510-530-5617. The band practices Saturday afternoons at BFUU (room and time varies with availability but will be announced in advance), and performs at services an average of twice per month.  You can also get your feet wet (and your fingers and voices warmed up) by bringing your instrument to Sunday services and join or start a jam during Coffee Hour.

Help us to grow our music program by giving the gift of a hymnal to BFUU through the UUA website!  We are need of both "Singing the Living Tradition" and "Singing the Journey."
