Community Acupressure Clinic

communityacupressure_webA community acupressure clinic will be held March 21 and April 18, 6 – 9 pm (third Wednesday of the month) in the Connie Barbour Room of the Berkeley Fellowship of Unitarian Universalists, at Bonita by Cedar.  Note that the Connie Barbour is in the Education Building through the gates on Bonita and on the second floor.

Acupressure is an ancient healing art that promotes wellness, helps relieve stress and tension, facilitates the body’s natural healing processes, and brings mind, body, and spirit to balance.   While it addresses common complaints that we typically associate with Western massage such as neck/shoulder/back pain, it can also help with internal issues like improving digestion, strengthening the immune system, and creating ease in menstruation.  Acupressure is quite profound as well in facilitating emotional balance, clarity and vision, and alignment with our values and our true path.

We practice Tui Na, an active style of Chinese Qi Gong meridian massage; Jin Shen, a quiet style of acupressure flows, Craniosacral, Shiatsu, and Reiki.  There may also be Thai massage, Shiatsu, Ashiatsu (barefoot form), and Reflexology practitioners depending on the day.  Clinic sessions are given in a setting where there are multiple practitioners/receivers in the healing space.
