Rev. Ben Meyers, Consulting Minister

It is with great pleasure that the Berkeley Fellowship of Unitarian Universalists(BFUU) welcomes the Rev. Ben Meyers as a full time, consulting minister beginning August 1, 2009. After the unanimous vote at the Congregational Meeting of July 12, 2009, Tom McAninley, Board President, announced: “This is an exciting step for the Fellowship as we have had a part-time, consulting ministry for the past four years and are now ready for the possibilities and benefits of full time ministry in our community.”
Rev. Ben Kocs-Meyers has been a UU minister since 1994. He attended the Pacific School of Religion and graduated from the Starr King School for the Ministry with a Masters of Divinity degree. He received his Bachelors of Music degree from Sacramento State University and studied for his M.B.A. in non-profit management at San Francisco State University. Rev. Ben has provided leadership in various capacities in the Pacific Central District of the Unitarian Universalist Association as both parish minister and congregational growth consultant. He has been a keynote presenter on the subject of Worship and the Arts at local, district, and continental gatherings. He brings a love of music and storytelling, a passion for religious education, experience in nonprofit management, and a commitment to shared leadership to this ministry.
